To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of International Women’s Day, March 8, 2011, the Tinahely Women’s Network is seeking submissions from women in Ireland and across the globe for a Postcard Art Project.
We would encourage the participation of not only women artists but also women’s groups and individuals with a desire to celebrate this important day.
On March 8th, 2011 we will open the two week exhibition in the Courthouse Community Gallery. The theme of the exhibition will be International Women’s Day- 100 Years of History and postcards should respect this theme. Each postcard will be reproduced on this website with the artist’s name.
At the completion of the exhibition all postcards will remain in the possession of the Tinahely Women’s Network as part of our archive and may possibly be displayed at a later date.
